DOMESTIC HELPER Job Description – The domestic helper undertakes to perform diligently and faithfully all duties of domestic nature such as but not limited to laundry, cooking, child or baby care, general cleaning and housekeeping of the residence of the employer and other relevant household chores which the employer may from time to time require.

FAMILY DRIVER

Job Description – Drive automobiles, vans, or limousines to transport members of the family and other passengers.

NANNY

Nannies are professional, in-home childcare providers. They can often be an affordable alternative to daycare/childcare facilities, depending on the salary range being offered and especially if there is more than one child to be cared for. Additionally, having a nanny provide individual and experienced attention and caring to their child/children in the comfort and safety of their own home can offer many families a greater peace of mind than with daycare.

Job Description – The main role of a nanny is to provide a safe, caring, nurturing and stimulating environment in which a child (children) can develop. General responsibilities include caring for a child/children and most things related to that child’s care. Each nanny position may have slightly different responsibilities depending on the family requirements, the age(s) of the child/children, and other factors, but typically include such responsibilities as helping children get dressed, administering meals, cleaning up after children, helping children with schoolwork, organizing and engaging in activities with children, etc. Other requirements may or may not include light housekeeping (beyond picking up after children), transporting children to and from school/activities, preparing meals for children and/or family, grocery shopping, running errands, child and/or parents laundry, etc. A nanny may work anywhere from a few hours/week up to 12 hours/day depending on the requirements of the family.

 HOUSEKEEPER / MAID

Job Description – Housekeepers/Maids are responsible for making sure all assigned areas of the home are clean, neat, and tidy. This includes any indoor household cleaning and organizing tasks assigned by the employer and may regularly include cleaning “projects” (e.g., cleaning and organizing a messy closet). Typical responsibilities include, vacuuming, dusting, laundry, mopping and waxing floors, changing linen, etc. Some Housekeeper/Maid positions also require cooking or food preparation. This should be specified early in the interview process if desired.

LIVE-IN CAREGIVER

Job Description – Caregivers are individuals who are qualified to work without supervision in a private household providing care for children, elderly persons or people who have disabilities. The live-in caregiver must live in the employer’s home.

CHEFS/COOKS

Job Description – Chef’s responsibilities will include everything relating to all meal preparations for the family (and staff if there is one), including shopping, meal/menu planning, preparation and clean-up, etc., and will be performed for all regular meals, special events, holidays, parties, entertaining, etc. An off-site chef who delivers is responsible for delivering high-quality food to families’ homes on time and according to specifications.

Job Description – Lay out, fit, and fabricate metal components to assemble structural forms, such as machinery frames, bridge parts, and pressure vessels, using knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and engineering requirements. Includes experimental welders who analyze engineering drawings and specifications to plan welding operations where procedural information is unavailable.

ELDERLY CARETAKER

Job Description – Elderly Caretakers are responsible for providing companionship, care, and support to the elderly. Their responsibilities typically include preparing and presenting meals, providing physical and hygiene support (the extent of this support depends on the requirements of the position), as well as pleasant companionship.

WAITER / WAITRESS

Job Description – Take orders and serve food and beverages to patrons at tables in dining establishment
