Our soon to be approved Megayacht Interior Operations 3 day course is your kick start into the interior world of the Yachting Industry where you can earn alot of money.

On the completion of these 3 days packed full of information, advice and hands on experience, you will be ready to embark on your exciting new career offering flawless 5 star guest service AND you will have covered almost all Interior based courses for the PYA G.U.E.S.T. Introductory Level.

Each module will be taught by an experienced boat Butler who is a professional in that field with informative power points, current examples and where necessary relevant equipment.

  • Yachting basic training

Start the week off with a basic introduction to yachting useful to anyone wishing to enter the industry. Learn about basic seamanship, industry regulation, chains of command, resume building, networking advice, personal appearance/expectations etc.

  • Silver Service

Invaluable tools will be shared to take with you throughout your career including preference sheets, inventorising, stock rotation, night books etc. All students will be taught the merits of professionalism, discretion and communication skills.

Silver Service: This will cover English, French, Russian, Gueridon, American, formal seating plans, order of service, serving techniques, correct use of silver ware. There will be practical experience of table settings, decorations, napkin folds, silverware placement, glass placement etc.

Bar, Wine and Champagne service will offer knowledge in glassware, provisioning, terminology, equipment, serving, pairing, decanting, storage and temperatures.

Additional services include Caviar, Tea and Coffee, Afternoon Tea, Cheese and Cigar.

  • Food Service Safety and Hygiene

This is quickly becoming an industry requirement and the knowledge gained from this can be used in all aspects of the interior.

  • Barista Training

This informative and interesting course is run in one of France/ The UK’s most popular coffee shop. Taught by the lead Barista, this course will take you through all you need to know about coffee and tea from purchasing, grinding, storage, milk steaming, equipment care etc to the end result of a perfect cup of tea or coffee!

  • Floral Design

A local master florist will provide an overview of the selection, handling, storage, presentation and care of cut flowers and plants aboard a yacht. Each student will create their own masterpiece whilst under the technical direction of the Master Florist.

  • Housekeeping/Plus Services

The Yacht training school will also cover practical instruction on housekeeping, bed making, laundry services, stain removal,cleaning supplies and folding: toilet rolls, towels, etc. Useful tips are offered for theme nights, special events, children on board, babies on board, packing/unpacking, toiletries, uniform, sun screen, seasickness etc!

The week will end with a trip to a well renowned local interior supplier.

Fast becoming an industry standard, Food Service, Safety and Hygiene is designed to help interior crew understand the risks involved with food borne illnesses, protecting both guests and crew alike.

The course explores the special requirements for controlling the issues of food contamination aboard a yacht, including good personal hygiene, food storage temperatures, contamination of equipment, safe cooking temperatures and the purchasing of food from safe sources.

Students will learn to identify potential food safety hazards, understand how food becomes unsafe and implement important preventive measures.

Keep your knowledge current. This world recognized course is specifically designed by our Yacht school for the yachting industry.
